PROPERTY DAMAGE PROS
Rental Policy
Please review these policies before submitting a reservation request.
These policies apply to all Property Damage Pros rental vehicles and
supplement the terms contained in the signed Rental Agreement and
Rental Agreement Addendum.
30
DAYS
Initial rental-period estimate
Insurance replacement rentals generally begin with an estimated
30-day rental period while repairs and insurance authorization
remain in progress.
The reservation end date is a scheduling estimate, not a guaranteed
return date or a guarantee of insurance payment. Continue using the
vehicle only while the rental or extension has been confirmed by
Property Damage Pros.
Authorized drivers and vehicle use
-
Every driver must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's
license, and be listed as an authorized driver on the Rental Agreement.
-
An unlisted or unauthorized driver is subject to a
$1,000 minimum charge, plus responsibility for all
resulting losses and damages.
-
The vehicle must remain within Utah unless Property Damage Pros gives
prior written authorization.
-
Taking the vehicle outside Utah may result in a
$1,000 minimum charge, recovery costs, additional
mileage charges, loss-of-use charges, and termination of the rental.
-
Vehicles may be operated only on paved public roads. Dirt roads,
gravel roads, trails, and off-road use are prohibited.
-
Evidence of unpaved-road or off-road use is subject to a
$1,000 minimum charge, plus damage, towing,
recovery, and loss-of-use costs.
-
Vehicles may not be used for racing, speed testing, driver training,
towing or pushing another vehicle, unlawful activity, carrying
hazardous materials, or any purpose prohibited by the Rental Agreement.
Fuel, smoking, animals, and cleanliness
Fuel
Return the vehicle with a full fuel tank.
$50 plus $8 per gallon
when returned below full
No smoking or vaping
Smoking and vaping are prohibited. This includes any smoke,
vapor, ash, odor, or residue.
$750 minimum
plus detailing, repairs, and loss of use
No pets
Pets are not permitted in rental vehicles. Service animals are
permitted as required by applicable law.
$250 minimum
plus cleaning, repairs, and loss of use
Return clean
Remove all trash and personal property. Excessive mud, sand,
dirt, stains, odors, or debris are prohibited.
$250 minimum
plus cleaning and loss-of-use costs
A customer is not charged a pet deposit or surcharge solely because
of a service animal. Charges may still apply for actual damage or
extraordinary cleaning when the same charges would apply to any other
customer causing comparable damage.
Damage, loss, and incident reporting
-
The renter is responsible for damage to or loss of the vehicle,
except to the extent otherwise provided in the signed Rental
Agreement or required by law.
-
Damage includes, without limitation, windshield chips or cracks,
damaged tires or wheels, lost keys or key fobs, dents, scratches,
interior damage, and undercarriage damage.
-
Applicable charges may include repair or replacement, towing,
recovery, administrative expenses, diminished value, and loss of use.
-
Any collision, theft, vandalism, warning light, mechanical concern,
or other incident must be reported to Property Damage Pros immediately.
-
The renter must cooperate with Property Damage Pros, law enforcement,
insurers, repair facilities, and any investigation relating to the
vehicle or incident.
-
Do not authorize repairs, replacement parts, towing, or other work
without approval from Property Damage Pros, except when immediate
action is reasonably necessary to protect health or safety.
Insurance and financial responsibility
-
The renter must provide current driver's-license and insurance
information when requested.
-
Insurance authorization does not automatically extend the rental
and does not eliminate the renter's obligations under the Rental
Agreement.
-
The renter remains responsible for charges not paid by an insurance
company or other third party, subject to the signed Rental Agreement
and applicable law.
-
Additional charges may include applicable taxes, approved mileage,
fuel, parking charges, tolls, citations, towing, recovery, cleaning,
repair, administrative expenses, and loss of use.
-
Authorized amounts may be charged to the payment method on file as
provided in the signed Rental Agreement and Addendum.
Return and extensions
-
Return the vehicle to the agreed Property Damage Pros location unless
different arrangements have been approved.
-
Extensions must be confirmed by Property Damage Pros. Approval from
an insurer, repair shop, attorney, or other third party does not by
itself extend the rental.
-
The vehicle must be returned promptly when Property Damage Pros
provides return instructions or when authorization ends.
-
The vehicle must be returned with all keys, key fobs, equipment,
accessories, and documents supplied at the beginning of the rental.
-
The renter should remove all personal property before returning the
vehicle. Property Damage Pros is not responsible for property left
in or on the vehicle except as required by law.
Important agreement notice
This webpage provides a customer-friendly summary of the principal
rental rules. It does not replace the signed Rental Agreement,
Rental Agreement Addendum, rate disclosure, or any other document
issued for a specific rental.
The signed documents contain the complete terms and control if they
conflict with this summary.
