Rental Policy Summary
• Minimum Age: 21 years with a valid driver's license.
• Travel Area: In-state use only (Maine).
• Insurance: Proof of full-coverage auto insurance required. No optional insurance offered.
• Deposit: $100 refundable security deposit (released within 3-5 business days if vehicle returned with same fuel level and no damage).
• Mileage: 300 miles/day included; $0.30 per mile thereafter.
• Prohibitions: No smoking, no towing, no commercial/rideshare use.
• Pets: Small pets allowed; renter liable for pet damage.
• Roadside Assistance: Included at no extra cost. RCP optional for a fee.
• Cancellations: Free if canceled 48+ hours before pickup. No refunds after pickup; late cancellations may incur fees.
1. Eligibility & Use
You must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid, unrestricted driver's license. Rentals are for in-state travel only. Proof of active full-coverage auto insurance is required prior to vehicle release. Commercial, delivery, or rideshare use is strictly prohibited.
2. Payments & Deposits
We accept most major credit cards. A $100 refundable security deposit is required at rental time and will be released within 3-5 business days after return provided the vehicle has the same fuel level and no new damage. Late returns are charged an extra full day's rental. Extensions are available by prior approval up to a maximum total rental of 30 days.
3. Mileage, Fuel & Vehicle Use
Each rental includes 300 miles per day. Additional miles are billed at $0.30 per mile. Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup. No smoking, cleaning fees may apply for evidence of smoking. Small pets allowed — renter liable for any pet-related damage. Towing/hauling is prohibited.
4. Damage, Accidents & Responsibilities
The renter is responsible for all damage, loss, fines, tickets, and tolls incurred during the rental. Accidents or damage must be reported immediately to local law enforcement and Credit Now Auto Company. Roadside Coverage Protection (RCP) may be available for an additional fee; roadside assistance is included — see agent for details.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
Reservations canceled at least 48 hours before pickup are fully refundable. Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior may incur a fee. There are no refunds for early returns or cancellations after vehicle pickup.
6. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Maine. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Hancock County, Maine, unless required otherwise by law.
7. Miscellaneous
Vehicles may have GPS tracking for security and recovery. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service if terms are violated. By renting, you acknowledge reading and agreeing to these Terms & Conditions.
